CAST commentary: ATE standards doomed to fail?

Mark over at EETimes has an interesting commentary on the new CAST org (Collaborative Alliance for Semiconductor Test). Our take? ATE companies (other than Advantest) would like to see STC go away (it will), and are happy to discuss EDA/SW/HW interface standardization as long as they can continue to differentiate their own core solutions.
